Her name is "Minoune".

You'd my my Mother bawl her eyes out with that picture. She looks EXACTLY like my mom's old cat.

Seal Point? I've owned Chocolate points and Blue points but never a Seal point. Beautiful cat. I but she's got a personality too.

Yes, seal point.
And right she do's have one, like all siamese.
She's like a woman; she never stops talking. :D ;)
4 years ago, a Vet told me even for a siamese she was "special" (her words not mine)

Bella! Bella!

She's beautiful! I grew up with a Seal Point ... and she had one hell of a personality too. My sister has two Lilac Points ... both are talkers.

I'm trying to convince my wife to get a Siamese ... someday ...

Aww...what a beautiful sweetheart :)

So, a Seal Point is a breed of Siamese? Or are they two different similar-looking breeds?

I've got a Maine Coon and a domestic shorthair tabby...and they are my children. :)

In this case the seal point Siamese is the darkest of the breed. I'm no expert on Siamese, I just prefer them to others. With all the mixing going on, there is a wide variaty of Siamese "model" to chose from. Colors vary from white to very dark like mine + shape of faces (some are more angular some are less).
If you have pics of your "children", please post.

What a magnificent cat!

Cannoli 07-21-2003 10:25 AM

To my knowledge, the Siamese Breed has three colors within it's confirmation (size, shape, color etc ...)

Seal Point
Chocolate Point
Lilac Point

I'm not the biggest cat lover around, but IF I ever did get one, I'd get a Siamese. Everyone I've ever been around definately had a lot of character:)
And those blue eyes.................

Your cat, Minoune looks a lot like the cat I used to have. Monique was her name and people would be like, "a woman's name for a cat?" haha... she argued like a woman.

I always thought Siamese were shorter haired (my cat was left by a roomie so I didn't know her origins), and Himalayan were longer haired? If Minoune is a seal point Siamese, then I guess I was wrong. Great cats to have if you live alone and don't mind talking to a cat. :)

Okay, here's Felix. He's the Maine Coon, and will be 8 this August 25th. I got him at the ripe old age of 6 weeks. :) This picture was taken a few years ago...

...and here's Jasper. I got him in '97 from a friend of my mom's and he was fully grown, but I don't know how old he is...he's very feisty, though. :)
