the last beetle was produced today in mexico.

Workers painstakingly crafted the final car: a baby blue version marked No. 21,529,464 that will go to a museum in Wolfsburg, Germany, home of VW headquarters.

That really stinks! Especially since I actually met Herbie in person!! Yes, it was at the Laurel MD drive-in theater in the mid-seventies.
 He was parked at the ticket window where my mom bought tickets to see his movie.We watched it while sitting on the rear deck of our convertable Corvair. What a car!!
