I agree, Bruce Lee should be on this list - and then there is no question.

David Carradine :p NOT! Jet Li is a true to life martial artist being China's no. 1 Wu Shu competitor before he got into cinema. His form is impecable and some of the moves he performs is beyond the capabilities of any of the other people mentioned. If Bruce Lee were on the list, I would vote for him though as he was an innovator way ahead of his time, not just in the martial arts but in that genre of movies.

i like the old jackie chan movies too. when i first found out about him i was surprised that he didn't really have much of a formal martial arts background, learning mostly as a stuntman and from the training they undergo in chinese cinema. the original "drunken master" was one of my favorites. that is a very advanced system and he pulled it off very convincingly....

Seagal is a fake.

Chan and Jet Li are for real.

Bruce Lee is still the greatest of all time.

hehe, actually Segal is highly rated in Aikido. i'd rather not debate the pluses and minus of that art but there's a story i heard that while shooting one of his movies he was really pumped up and carrying on about how great he was and challenging all comers. one of the stuntmen took him down and kicked his butt!

There is absolutely no question here. Van Damme is not a martial artist. He is a dancer who was trained a little by Chuck Norris, so that he could be in movies. Steven Seagal is a girl who will never fight anyone in a ring. Jackie Chan is very good with weird objects. He can use anything to kick someone's as*. Jet Li on the other hand is good with his body and Martial Art's weapons. In my opinion Jet Li is a little better, although Jackie Chan does have the size advantage, but he is also a little slower. I would love to see the two of them fight in a ring sometime.

Altogether, the best Martial Artist, of all time, was of course Bruce Lee. When they did the autopsy on him, they said his body was almost not human because it was in such perfect condition. Then, Chuck Norris in number two, even though I don't like the guy because of Walker Texas Ranger (dumbest show on Television). He actually fought Bruce Lee for real, and did not lose. Well nobody won or lost. They kind of tied. He went around the world for years fighting anybody who wanted to fight him, and he never lost. The amazing thing about him was that he didn't start Martial Arts training until he was 19 years old. He is pretty impressive for how late he started. He is also in pretty good shape for his age now. I think he is like 55 years old.

No doubt. Lee was made of Kryptonite, and he would've broke superman over his knee and spanked him like a little girl.

Has anyone seen Seagal lately? He looks like he's been doing all his sparring at Dairy Queen.

They have started filming him with some kinda "flowing robes" thing. It's kinda hard to go for "martial arts killer" when you're wearing a moo-moo.

Chuck Norris turned SIXTY this year, and he's in SHAPE. He might be an info-mercial dude right now (but with CHRISTIE BRINKLEY!!) but he's still the real deal.

Jet Li is unreal and looks like some kid that works at the mall, but could dismember you without thinking about it. I liked him as the bad guy in the Leathal Weapon movie.

Jackie Chan has no real training, but is fast, strong, and fearless. Gotta give the guy something for doing his own stunt work, given some of the outrageous stuff he's done.

The finest Seagal movie was the one where he's on the boat and Erika Elaniak pops out of the cake and shows us her incredible stage "presents." (Yes I spelled it right...)
