Are you a good passenger?

We took the Subie shopping this evening, and Helen was traveling faster than traffic, and deftly moving through the light "crowd" on the freeway. I found not being in the driver's seat uncomfortable.

I realized that whenever someone else is driving, I am nervous. Helen is an excellent driver, more skilled than most, but for me it was just a control issue.

I think it's why I don't like commercial air travel anymore. (used to fly 100,000 miles a year) They won't let me fly the plane...

I feel the exact same way, so you're not alone.

I have no problem with sitting in the passenger seat. There have been drivers where I could feel that they are not in control of what they are doing or who mistreat the material.

I try to avoid travelling with them. But the rest of the crowd, my sister, friends, my girlfriend, I have no problem sleeping when they are driving or to lend them my cars.

Kind regards
Eberhard

And there's nothing worse than a back-seat driver on a commercial airplane too

No, not at all!

I find myself constantly offering my driving services, and driving because I love it and hate not being in control!

The girl I am dating feels so horrible that I drive everywhere, and never take her car anywhere or let her drive me places. I just have a love for driving. She somehow isn't scared of my "Iranian Taxi Driver" manuvers through the city streets, and my scary approach to paralell parking. I guess I could say I drive quick (for a 240D Driver)

No accidents yet Knock on wood. It seems the only drivers who haven't got in an accident at my school yet are the ones who drive manual transmission cars. Weird.

Not one Rhode Island driver at my mostly Massachusetts kid Catholic school has got in an accident yet.

Rhode Island drivers aren't as bad as some make us out to be

John, I could have told you 2 years ago, just from reading your posts, that you would be a terrible passenger. Anything else you need to know?
