Favorite Chocolate Brand??
Ahh!
Today I bought my semi girlfriend a nice little cute box of Lindt Truffles. I ended up eating half of them before I got to her house to pick her up, so I got another box. Personally, I love chocolate. If any of you have seen me, I am a skinny kid. But I love chocolate. Curious what brands you like. Personally, there are three particular brands I love (all European) Lindt (Great Chocolates, Swiss, famous for truffles) Droste (From Holland, also great. Famous of pastelles. Almost on par with Lindt) Ritter (German company, makes different chocolate bars with nuts, marzipan, etc. I always eat these while hiking or just as a general type of bar.) What type of chocolates you enjoy? Just curious. I personally hate Godiva. I think they are too rich, and just have too much coacoa. I am not a big fan of any of the Italian brands. Also...the Belgian chocolate seashells are great too |

I too am a chocoholic who refuses therapy.
I do'nt have a specific favorite, but I have to add Ghiradelli to the list. Gotta love their chocolate mint. |

There's a German deli near here that sells German chocolates with German brandy (Asbach) inside. Sounds strange, you need to try it to see that chocolate and brandy go together.
I always get a bunch for Christmas time. Here's a link for a place that sells them: http://www.sendchocolates.com/europeanchocolates/asbach/asbachindex.asp?source=overture&OVRAW=asbach%20uralt&OVKEY=asbach%20uralt&OVMTC=standard Gilly |

Cadbury's pretty good too. I guess my taste for chocolate isn't as developed as my taste in cars Sixto 95 S420 91 300SE 87 300SDL 83 300SD |

The best restaurants use Valhrona
I know this as I'm a chef. Valhrona is hands down the best quality chocolate available. Unfortunately, Valhrona is French. The best American made chocolate that can hold a candle to Euro chocolate is San Francisco based Scharfenberger, really great stuff.

Buy American!
Hot Skillet, I have to respectfully disagree . . . Hawaiian Vintage Chocolate is the only world class chocolate made from US grown cacao beans! http://www.hawaiianchocolate.com/ |

WOW! You guys can REALLY get into stuff!
I've been to the Godiva store once, but my infatuation for chocolate usually doesn't go any further than Hersheys!
