cell phone help
well from yesterdays rain my old nokia 3360 Lcd screen is half gone i was wondering if someone can explain the basics for me.
i want a motorola v70. its the swivle blade phone that was pretty pricy when it came out and now its cheap. i heard its a GSM phone. now my current carrier is cingular and before they upgraded their network in my area they told me that it would work after they do. now i went back yesterday and they said it doesn't work because they don't carry that phone. but the V60 which i believe runs on the same network type would. now i've heard a lot of people buying phones from japan and using it here so i wonder if they didn't want to use that phone because they don't sell it at their store. and if the V60 runs on the same network shouldn't the V70 work as well? or is my carrier being lame and do i have to change. some one please help me out here. thanks for any advices ned |
I'm no expert, but I used to have an old Nokia. Their displays were prone to dissapear, but there is a simple fix, if it'll work. Take the phone and slam it against the palm of your hand a couple times. That always worked for my phone to get the display back. Eventually it will dissapear alltogether.
Regarding the networks, I do know from a reliable source that the new GSM network is not completely up and running yet simply because all the towers aren't installed yet. So the reception won't be good for a while. Hope this helps some. |
