no baseball threads?

is anyone here interested in the baseball playoffs?

im not much of a sports fan, but usually watch baseball this time of year.

ive got no afilliation with chicago, but im pulling for the cubs.

i only wish harry carey was around to scream "cubs win, cubs win" if they can manage to take it all the way.

They don't have Harry anymore, but they DID get Ozzy to sing "take me out" in the seventh inning stretch. Anyone catch that?

I admit, I don't follow baseball much unless something extraordinary is going on. Like that season when the Mariners were like 40 games over .500, or the last few years when the race to hit the most home runs in one season was pretty close. The last two years have been good years for the Minnesota Twins. Too bad they ran into the Yankees in the first round. That's it for me.

I'd love to see a Sox/Cubs world series, just to know that one of those teams is finally going to end the long losing streak, plus Fenway and Wrigley are both great old parks.

I saw Ozzy singing, what a sight.

I'm actually gonna be in New York this week and during the first game of the WS. I've been thinking about purchasing a ticket and checking it out. But, I'm with you guys after playing T-ball, little league, etc. etc.. most of my childhood I've pretty much had it with baseball. I must admit though I went to an Angels VS Red sox game in Anaheim, CA a few months ago and had a great time or maybe it was just the fantasy of running into J-Lo at the hot dog stand that won me over. hmmmm

I would too, but I don't think the Red Sox are going to make it. They choked like dogs those last two games, and they should have won both. I don't think they really believe they belong there with the Yankees. I hope they prove me wrong...

baseball is boring. Not only that, but it seems EVERYONE is a Cubs fan now. Me being a White Sox fan, this is my hell, unless the Cubs continue losing...

Sox fan? You one of those guys who likes to jump on the field and thump the refs? lol!

No, I like the White Sox too. Nothing like watching Frank Thomas hit it into the fountain... gawd the Twins really need a new stadium.
