Do we have any Tom Waits fans out there?
Tom Waits is perhaps the most creative composer of the era. In my humble opinion.

dont know that much about his music, but...
he was GREAT in the altman film "Shortcuts" he was teamed with lily tomlin as his wife. they were a hard-drinking lovable bunch. probably not too far from his reality. :p |

He quit drinking in the 80's. His early stuff though is arguably his best. He wrote hit music for the eagles and bruce springstein.

I don't know who wrote the song, but I have always gotten a kick out of Warm Beer and Cold Women on his Nighthawks at the Diner album.
