Unhappy Lost another friend today

A friend, also one of my past bosses here at the shop I work at, passed away last night after an 8 month battle with a brain tumer(sp?). He was just a year younger than me(45). Seems it's always the good ones that die young. ( I know it's not really that way. Just feels like it)
He leaves behind a wife, who runs our shipping department. This was her 3rd marriage, one that finally was working for her.
So goes life, eh?

That would be Benz-LGB. I'm sorry to hear that Rick. Makes you take a step back and wonder sometimes about our own mortality. Hope you're doing OK.

My condolances for the loss of your friend. It does seem like a lot of people are passing away lately.

My condolences too. Life can be very strange and sad sometimes.

ouch...sorry to hear about that. I lost a friend in a car accident this summer...it was really weird to loose a friend being as young as i am(19), no offense intended but i expected to be at least your age before i started to loose friends. I'm sure it definately isn't any easier when you get older though, my condolences go out to everyone that knew him.
sincerely,
Ryan

When a friend dies, one isn't truly forgotten...

Specially when touched by the lives of others, without asking
From heart to heart, in such a loving, caring and unique fashion
When a friend dies, one isn't truly gone...
Though departed in the physical but remains in my mind's gate
With me forever, regardless of their untimely fate

When a friend dies, one isn't truly lost...
But is found and lives in the hearts of all of us
Simply because we love em'... the recipient of our trust

When a friend dies, one must travel alone...
Each one has his own special road, the route is created by each own Without help, each must walk alone; to our final destination, home

When a friend dies, everyone becomes hurt...
Though no mere words can ever categorize the sorrow
It's good memories fused with time that helps us through tomorrow

When a friend dies, God is still in control...
Knowing that in the good or the bad, we are still blessed
Because our God, not us, knows what's truly best

Though how can it be explained when a friend dies, yet we still remain Until I see God and He makes it all clear -- at least I know He's always near I'll always remember my friend that I held dear, as I wipe away this tear

Thanks all, and thanks Lebenz for that thought. This whole thing has definatly put a bit of a dark cloud on the shop here. He was really liked by the whole crew. There were a few tears brushed away in our meeting yesterday. He took over the company just about 4 years ago(from being the shop foreman), and really turned it around for the good.
But the up side is, he isn't suffering any more. It's tough to watch someone waste away like he was. Up until a month ago or so, he'd stop by and say hi to us all. The last couple weeks he didn't even want any visitors stopping by the house, so none of us feel like we really got to say the things we wanted to. So it goes.
Thanks again to you all.
