supposedly this is a scam, with a hacked name. I know it was too good to be true, but isn't it fun to think for a split second that you can get a brand new M5 for $14K?

schwarzwagen 11-24-2003 02:56 PM

heck yeah... if only for a second:rolleyes:

I even put thru a frantice call to my father requesting funds! The sale of my soul, etc. etc. etc.:D

It's a scam

Sounds like a scam especially where he is asking for an advance.

I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole. The wording alone sounds like a variation of the usual Nigerian scamming (reference www.ebolamonkeyman.com recently posted on this forum).

"Oh quick, where can I come up with the $2000? Please please, someone help me so I can send this guy $2000 Western Union. I just need the downpayment money, I'll come up with the rest later!!!"

no kidding !! the thing that cracks me up is that there's always that one guy who falls for the whole scam...Hook, line and sinker.

hill 11-25-2003 11:17 PM

I just had to find out what the scam was. While I detest people who try to scam others sometimes (not this case) you have to admire the ingenuity that is used.

Hatterasguy 11-26-2003 06:35 PM

Here's an idea, offer to pay his price on one condition. You will fly out to Italy and pick it up there, and give him the check when you see it.:D

Gilly 11-26-2003 07:04 PM

hill:

Man, that previous post is a great idea. You've already expressed an interest in it, see what he says!!!
