260E to 300E differences?
 

Hi everyone. I performed a search on this and came up with no results. I am curious about the 260E and 300E. Other than the obvious engine differences, what are the major differences between the cars? My 1992 brochure states that "a few features that are standard on the 300E are left optional on the 260E to reduce cost" or something along those lines. So, what were the features?

From what I can remember,

*Power seats,

*Telescopic wheel,

And that's about it. My sister had a 260E with both those options.

on the 1990 300E 2.6 vs the 300E,

*Leather also

There really was not much difference between the two. Just a fewer options, and a minor performance gap compensated by a 3.27 rear-axle for the 260E vs a 3.06 for the 300E.
