And your conclusion is based on......????

I have read Tolkien's trilogy as well as The Hobbit, but I haven't read a lot of children's books lately.

You don't listen to music much, do ya ? I even tried to throw some locals at you, knowing your lack of regard for the new world...

Where's the Silmarilion in your choices - a far superior work. The creation myth beats genesis hands down.

Actually, I'm still struggling with the symbolism of Hansel and Gretel. I'm guessing that the witch is GW, the oven is the U.S., Hansel is Iraq, and Gretel is France -- is that right? I'm only semi-literate, so.......

For once, I agree with V.
I liked them both. LOTR was better for my tastes, but Potter was fun to watch.
I think they did a good job translating LOTR to a movie. No easy task. I've read the series several times, and it's a pretty complex story. I'm just disapointed that they didn't do The Hobbit first.

Both. Bach is hands down the best classsical composer.
Abba were the best thing out of the 70's for pop music.
