anyone know how i activated "speed sensitive" volume?
i dont remember seeing this in my manual, but...
my stereo in the W202 (C-280) seems to have suddenly entered into a "speed sensitive" volume control mode. i never noticed it before in an entire year, but now... slow>stop = lower volume, speed brings volume increase. the ONLY thing that has happened/changed that i can recall is an instance of dead battery and recharge after the car sat for 6 weeks. dont get me wrong, its kinda nice, but i am curious! |

I have this feature on my Tahoe's stereo system. I don't know how it's adjusted on a M-B, but in the Tahoe, the collar around the volume knob adjusts the sensitivity. I love it!

Speed sensitive is the default mode, but the dealer can change it for you. Whether they charge for it (and how much) is the big question. That "feature" drives me crazy in the E300, so I had the dealer turn it off during a service visit. However, it came back when they replaced the battery.
