I read through the manual and it seems these devices don't have a couple of features I find invaluable in comparable Garmin units, namely:
- indefinite attempts to reroute you to your destination. The manual says that the RoadMate tries 3 times then assumes you're off to another destination. When I drive around SoCal I jump freeways like it's going out of style.
- waypoint setting. The manual says you can save addresses entered as addresses but you can't save the current location if you don't know its address. There's a spot on the side of the road near Yosemite where we go sledding and there isn't a mailbox for miles.
Thanks,
