Does god not like my car??

Well, in the last 2.5 months, I've had numerous things occur to my car, none of which were my fault.

First, while parked on the inside corner of my street (drive was full ) a van going up the one-way road THE WRONG WAY hit it:

Fortunately he stopped and I happened to go outside while he was there.

So, new bumper indicator and strip under headlamp, sprayed wing all paid for.

Then, parked on the road at my girlfriends on new years eve, the star goes missing

And now, last night, a piece of stone fell off the roof of the CHURCH I live next to, landing on the bonnet. It's made a number of deep, deep dents. Also some landed on the roof. Nothing hit the 3 other people's cars parked next to mine.

Finally, whilst moving it away from God's dangerous house, I noticed the central locking no longer works from the driver's door, only the passenger's.

After all this, I'm worried if I drive it fast down the motorway the wheel will come off or something, so I'm going to drive it as slowly as possible in fear .

After all this, should I sell it and get another car? Is it a magnet to this stuff or will the same happen to the 500E/Porsche 968 that I plan to get? Shall I wait for the freakyness to stop before getting another?

Unhappy The next omen may be a 747 landing on the roof; with you in it.

Hello pentoman
Can you not take a hint from on high!
The next omen may be a 747 landing on the roof; with you in it.
Sell it quick; before lightning strikes.

I had a cursed Mercedes diesel too.

Apparently, the only way to drive out a demon is with money.

$800 for injection pump
$150 for new oil pan
$250 for repaired vacume pump
$500 for new brakes all around
$300 for new shocks all around
$200 for new injectors
$150 for new glow plugs
$1100 for accident damage (not my fault, not my money)

And now she is cured!

"pentoman"; sounds like divine omen, dump the car or else!

Hello Cazzzidy
Yours sounds like poor maintenence by the PO.
"pentoman"; sounds like divine omen, dump the car or else!
I have had a couple like this; once I dared to ignore the omens, that car was stolen, recovered without drivetrain, two tool boxes of SnapOn tools gone from trunk.
I never argue with a clear omen; the stone fell from a church, not one fragment touched the three surrounding cars.
You do not want God to shout; that could really hurt.
Have a great day.

First incident was caused by the other driver. I
d blame it on "the blokes" parents.
Second incident was a crime, I'd blame that on the devil, not God.
Third incident, with the stone blocks, that's a stumper on who to sue over that one. Initially I thought the mason who installed the blocks. I guess if you want to blame that guy, it'd depend on the age of the Church involved. I mean, ya don't go after the Egyptians whenever another piece comes off one of the Pyramids now, do ya?
You could also blame it to a great extent on the effect of gravity, but if ya want God to repeal the Law of Gravity, your tire traction is gonna really suck, so it's a double-edge sword there, pally.
The fourth incident with the door locks, it's a bit of a stretch to assume God broke your central locking system. Blame that on Bosch or whoever built the central locking pump.
Cazzidy's problems aren't caused by God. Those problems are caused by the Spirit of Rudolph Diesel. It's a common Diesel problem. Rudolph disappeared one night from a ship crossing the English Channel, in case you guys didn't know. They're all haunted, I'm tellin ya. BOO!

OK, what you need to do is get another car, but keep this one as a decoy.

Sorry to read all the bad news. That really sucks.

My wife had bought a new Honda Prelude with the same weird propensities...

A week after purchased, took a coke bottle hit on the hood similar in damage to what your pic represents...repaired by insurance.

Six months later, baseball-sized hail destroyed it...insurance fixed it good as new.

Another six months later, someone ran a red light and t-boned it. Fixed after being in the body shop for two months.

A year later, wife curbs it badly and destroys the passenger side rocker panel...out-of-pocket, as I wasn't EVEN going to call the insurance company again!

Decided it had bad "kar"-ma and traded it for a V-12 Jag. So if God had anything to do with it, we sold its soul for the "Prince of Darkness"!

Hmm.. an interesting point I noticed here; in our cases - buy a cheap to run car and God will make it expensive to run - so you buy a very expensive car to run, to apease him!

Maybe he's telling me to buy a '94 S600.
Maybe one with 150,000 miles, showing signs of twice the mileage, smokey, with all the SRS/ASR/ABS/engine management lights on, and zilch service history..

later!

Russ

tithing - Hmm, I'm not sure what that means, maybe it's not in the circulation of us '80s babies

Looked it up online:

"An administrative division consisting of ten householders in the old English system of frankpledge."

"To levy a tenth part on; to tax to the amount of a tenth; to pay tithes on."

Still no help. Maybe it was a typo?

later!

You got it with the 10% hit. He means paying 10% of your income to the church.
