VW Beetle vanity plates-Had Enough?

Am I the only person who is becoming deranged from looking at all of the stupid vanity plates on new beetles?
I don't think I've ever seen as many custom plates on one particular model of car as this one.
I think I have seen every possible combination involving the words "bug", "beetle", and anything else Beetle related.

Anybody else seeing the same trend?
Opinions?

Vanity plates can be fun but the ones like MY MB and MB4ME are practically warnings about the mental abilities of the driver.

Sixto you beat me to it.

MYBMW, Really, I thought you stole it. Thanks for clearing that up.

The best I ever saw was on a Ford Probe. It was badged "PROBE" just to the left of the plate. The plate said "URANUS"

I had to pull over I was laughing so hard.

Serious, I saw a BMW said FOSHZZL

Most memorable plates I have seen:

"8 U JELUS" (corvette in the 80's, Foster City, CA)
EZDUZIT" (gangster-mobile in DC)
"W126" (CT)
"DEEZ NUTS" (MD- I don't get it, but I am sure it is offensive in some way)

Vanity plates on a new Beetle=UberDork.

Sorry...as a VW owner, I have had a few vanity plates for that car...

...stopped the trend once I got to Texas...too expensive to outfit all of my vehicles with vanity plates.

Best vanity plate I ever saw:

On a nicely kept minivan with lots of child seats:

PLAN B

was all it had to say!

If you ever see a massive Green and gold Excursion tooling around with IL plates that say "R Bus" wave and say hi to my mom

aTOMic 02-23-2004 03:49 PM

On a VW Cabrio near Nashville:

PHA QUE

I swear I have seen it myself. Hilarious.

Mine (VW Passat) says ATOMIC cause it's light green like a radium clock... sorry, KeroseneKar. I like vanity plates. but don't get me started on "special interest" plates, in TN anyone who can get 100 people together can get their own plates printed (Subject to approval for readability) -- even a new CONFEDERATE FLAG plate has just come out!! Sorry I find it ignorant that someone would be proud to be associated with treasonous losers <<sound of can of worms opening>> :D :D

I remember reading in the Star, I believe, about a memeber that had an old 6.3. His plate was WLFNWOL, or something to that effect.

Wolf in Wool = Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

A nasty sounding Z06 with the I-SPEED on the back. Guy might as well have had TICKETME on the back

aTOMic, I don't mind vanity plates if they are original or clever, like yours. My issue is purely the stupid "mybug" "blu betl" "betl bug" "buggin" etc. plates that seem to be on every other new beetle that you see.

I saw one on a BMW Z3 that read "NOTANMD" . I'm going Duh!!!
If they were they would be driving an SL or at least something with a Star emblem on it. Don't you guys agree?
