Exxon Mobil is even much more profitable than Microsoft! $6.65 billion NET INCOME for just 3 months.
"Exxon Mobil Corporation Announces Estimated Fourth Quarter and 2003 Results January 29, 2004 - Exxon Mobil Corporation today reported fourth quarter results. Net income was $6,650 million ($1.01 per share), an increase of $2,560 million from the fourth quarter of 2002, and included a special item of $2,230 million relating to the settlement of a long-running U.S. tax dispute."

manny - Not necessarily, if the Mobil-1 business starts loosing money it will be taken off market very quickly to maintain the high profitabilty.
