Does anyone have the physcologial tests.......

That headhunters use to qualify applicants?

I have been out of work for about a month now and just got called by an important company (Pepsico) and by a Headhunter to go in for testing and interviews. Both have important (to me) positions available.

Therefore, anyone out there in the forum have the tests that these companies use to qualify applicants? Most of these I understand that there is no right or wrong answer but getting a read before I get in on Monday would be great!

You can email me them at imira@intelnett.com

Thanks, Iggy

Ditto. The tests are usually something like the personality test I'm thinking of and I can't remember the name. I actually have one lying around my house somewhere from grad school but I wouldn't want to start digging for it. They can detect deception or insincerity.

As a child psychologist, I find it interesting that you wish to procure a copy of these tests. By posting this request, you have already revealed much about yourself...Think about it!

LOL, I took them for various contract's I had, I still laugh about one of the opening questions.

1. Are you nervous or did/will you try to cheat on this test?

Or another

I get the urge to hurt people.
A. Almost always
B. Sometimes
C. Only when provoked
D. Never.

One company requested the MMPI

"One company requested the MMPI "

Wasn't that test from the 1960's?

Dale Doria:

Other than taking an initiative to preview the types of exams administered, I do not think that I have done anything wrong and only shows that I will go that extra mile to do well.

It has been a long time since I have taken one of these exams and since I was to be taking it in Spanish (English is my stronger language - by far in reading and writing) I wanted to read up a little, so as to have the time to be able to compleate the exam given that it takes me longer to read and comprehend in Spanish more than in English.

By the way, I already took some of these this morning and have some more to take at another company this afternoon. I know that there really is not right or wrong answer but a heads up is always good.

I see.......so getting a copy of the SAT's to falsly improve your score, gaining admittance to a college based on that "false" score is O.K.? You are doing the same thing. There is a reason the instruments are administered as they are....as I see it...you have demonstrated it quite well.

Emotional maturity test.

I scored 65.

Here's another one, takes a little bit longer but more in depth.

Psych Test

This one says, I am not "agreeable" with others. I tend not to play well in groups. Probably true also as I want to do things my way. But this I am trying to work on as I know it is important. I'd say Rickg would score high on that.
Interesting tests.
I scored a 60 on the emotional maturity test. At least that's some above average
I was pretty middle of the road on the morality test.

"Your values are neither extremely traditional nor particularly progressive.
When it comes to social morals, you feel that society's current laws are generally fair, but could be more flexible.
You believe that the government's current positions are generally balanced and fair, but disagree with a few of its practices.
You enjoy having novel experiences and seeing things in new ways.
You are neither organized or disorganized.
You are relatively social and enjoy the company of others.
You are neither extremely forgiving nor irritable.
You tend to become anxious or nervous."

I may not have answered a few of the questions accurately. Not sure I agree with the "results" all the way.
It'd be interesting to have my wife run thru the test for me and see how different the results would be

I scored an 80 on the emotional maturity test, which is definitly a result of having to deal with butt heads the last few years. I took the test again answering what I would have done a few years ago and scored a 20.

I scored a 75 on the emotional maturity test. It must be broken.

A zillion years ago I took the MMPI-2 for reasons I'll leave to your fertile imaginations. I remember it being, what seemed like at the time, horribly repetitive.

One of the questions was something like: "Do you enjoy teasing small animals?" Being brutally honest, I replied yes. Partly because I had had a cat in the past that liked to play with string. I figured that, in a sense, that technically was 'teasing small animals.'

I KNOW it must have flipped a switch somewhere because later on, in some other discussions, I was asked several questions about owning animals and caring for them. One of the questions was so blunt: "Do you like to tease small animals?"

Anyway, I'm better nowadays, thanks to "Better things for better living through chemistry."

I think what ruined my score was the questions about dealing with difficult customers(especially over the phone) and fellow employees. A real weak spot for me!! Do your job, or get outta my way! :p

I passed the screening, hated the job. Never again.
Don't waste too much time studying for the drug and urine tests either!
