we didnt go to war for oil
or, at least apparently not where i live.
GA typically has some of the cheapest gas in the US. today i paid $1.50 for reg (not for the MB!) mid + .10, hi + .20 however, its kinda nice paying .20/gal less for the rice ride.

You're absolutely right -- we didn't. It seems that we have a severe sand shortage that needs to be addressed....

hey botnst,
i bought gas every week for a year in new orleans, and paid whatever the going LA tax rate was, but never once drove on a road that even would laughingly pass as acceptable anywhere else. possibly geography and physics at work, but based on my observation of public services and tax $ at work, mostly not. HOWEVER, those drive-thru frozen daquaris help ease the pain! :p

I paid $1.61/gal for diesel fuel on Tuesday, and it went up to $1.69/gal by the same time the very next day! Fortunately, I refueled the truck ($60 worth) on Tuesday and not Wednesday...that's when I filled the car. Ugh!! And that's the cheapest diesel station in the Bay Area...

I saw it was up to $2.75 in Malibu CA yesterday; very nice for all those G500 and H2 owners, the car of choice in Malibu.
