Driving/Performance School - SoCal

Would you in Southern California please forward your recommendations for driving schools in the Orange County/Riverside area? My son is about to start the whole experience and I want him to be well-schooled in driving techniques prior to spending any real time on real roads in real traffic. I would prefer that he go through a progressive program in which, at some point, I could join him for a high-performance seminar/class/track day. I learned about high speed, controlling spins, threshhold braking, etc. in the deserted desert in Arizona in the early '70s and later at PIR. He lives 387 miles away from me so I can't share my limited knowledge with him on a constant basis. None of the rest of his family in SoCal is worth a hoot behind the wheel of a car. I also won't let him behind the wheel of my M without confidence that he can handle the car.

Thanks.

Most race driving schools require you to be an licensed adult to participate, but they usually offer a karting course for minors. As for performance driving classes, the requirement might not be different and vary from location to location. Skip Barber, Jim Russell, Danny Keever have SoCal locations.
