Poll: My next car?

I was thinking about a new car, something cheap (at least initially) and fun to mess around with. See what you guys think of what I've narrowed it down to and maybe you got some suggestions in the direction I'm pointing.

Major POS is a better term.

There is an ad in the local paper for an AMC Pacer. I can give you the number if you like.

I will vote for the gtv6. The alfa V6 is a beautiful engine that is more or less "bulletproof". It does require religous upkeep of the waterpump and belts however. It's a fun car to drive - handling, steering, braking are impressive for a car of the age and catagory. The key is to find a rust free one - not as easy as it sounds! They are also DIY freindly. There is a lot of info about them here: http://www.gtv6.org/gtv6faq.htm

Well, thanks for those that provided valuable info. and the link is real good, i appreciate it. As for the pacer, thanks anyway but PA is a bit far and the AMC doesnt quite float me.

I dunno, I pretty much knew the Maserati was crap everyone says so that I've talked to, and the GTV is super kool, but how easily tunable is it? The Corrado is real easy so I like it. Cause none of these cars have enough power, stock, to keep me happy, I'm kinda tired of a big ole' heavy benz with no get-up, at least not until I hit like 60. I need balance.

I lust for a Pagani Zonda S. At least it uses a Mercedes-Benz engine, although the 7.3L AMG monster is as likely to find its way into a regular car as Kimi's MacMerc engine.

Do what I did and cash in the IRA and get a Modena, it proved to be a better investment.
