I bought the software and I can not install the **** thing. It stops responding when it reaches the "Adding necessary font files" screen during installation. I went to intuit help and support site and follow their instructions to "solve" the problem but still have the same problem. Did anybody installed TurboTax 2003 succesfully? Worse case scenario, any other good tax software recommendation?
I never had any problems with TurboTax and I used it for the past five + years. This is the first time I had problems ( and may be the last time). Their help and support is non-existant, as far as I am concerned...

I used www.taxact.com online - cheaper than turbotax and no software to screw up. did two states, partial year... and fed for itemized deductions for married filing jointly and it cost about $18 including efiling. seemed like a deal to me.

I had the exact same problem on my computer. I loaded it and did the update and it would freeze. This computer is 333 Celeron. Windows 98 and connected to a cable modem with all the Windows updates. I DID install the program on my other computer, 300 Pentium Windows 98, with no internet connection, ie no Windows updates and it ran fine. Did a manual update from Quiken and did the taxes. I don't know whats up with Quiken.
