I don't see anything wrong with it either. I think they did the right thing. The younger these kids figure out they can't screw with other peoples property without permission the better.

sorry to change topics but an update:
The oldest boy is hanging in there. His grades are high b's and a's which is GREAT - BUT I got a call from his algebra
teacher this week that he was being "disrespectful". I discussed it with him and he gave me this line about her being disrespectful to him. I talked to him about an hour trying to get him to understand that he is absolutely NOT in a position to be disrespectful to others just because they are disrespectful to him. I told him all he needed to be concerned with was getting through this school year with as few conflicts as possible. I don't know where they get this crap about the teacher being dierespectful. Heck, when I was his age the teacher woulda beat the crap out of me (in front of the whole class) if I had spoken to her the way he did and then I woulda been beat when I got home and my parents found out about it.

He is visiting his probation officer every two weeks and they have been randomly piss testing him. He ain't doing too good with his piss test having tested positive for pot for the last couple test. In talking to the probation officer if he busts out again he will have to go to YDC which, in my opinion, would be the best thing for him. Unfortunately, the gal that he had been hooked up with is already at YDC for a year.

Oh yea, the punishment for disrespecting the teacher was to take his learners permit from him - he had it for less than a WEEK. We will see if this is better punishment than spanking.

I handcuff everyone I hook up, period. Doesn't matter if they're old, young, big, small or crippled. You don't know what is going through anyone's mind. In some cases it is more for their safety than anything else. I highly doubt any copper would crank the cuffs on tight for a young girl...that is saved for the hard core bad boys.

Beside that, she commited a crime and got what she deserved - a trip to the hooskow.

Sorry to hear the boy is backsliding Jim. 30 years ago if you remember young fellers who screwed the pooch got two options...jail or enlisting. Now that we are in for a possible lengthy action that might come back in favor with some of the Judges, especially down South! You can hit me on the Nextal anytime...my plan is Nationwide now.

Back in the old days, when I was not even conceived yet, children used to receive a lickin' if they'd done something wrong.

If you spare the staff, then you spoil the child. It's as simple as that. A thorough "talking-to" will not get the point across when it comes to children. Children have short attention spans, and whatever goes into one ear goes out the other.

We live in an age of society where a child getting spanked in public would be enough to throw the parent in jail.

A person (kid or adult) usually knows the difference between receiving a deservedly righteous ass-kicking and a perv who gets some twisted sensual pleasure from giving it.

The people who enjoy the imposition of corporal punishment are the ones we (society) need to watch, jail, or kick-ass on. I prefer the last.
