Porsche knowledge...???
OK, what is the difference between a 930 and a 911 turbo?
|
The first generation 911 turbo (mid '70s) had the internal project number "930". I'll leave the rest to the guys here who own/owned one. For more Porsche info., log on to www.rennlist.com, you'll learn more than you ever wanted to.

And 930 only applies to previous "old style body" turbos. After 1990 it was built on a 964 chassis.
|
A 930 is a 911 turbo. 1976 the first year it was actually badged "Turbo Carrera". Late 77 and 78 they were intercooled and badged simply "Turbo". That went on through the 80's. I did'nt keep track after that. They were all designated by porsche as the 930.
