I have never heard of this crap before.... but I am glad thats something is being done to stop it. Does Louisiana have a law prohibiting dog fights?

States Rights, podnuh. Where is the constitutional national interest? Ban interstate transport, etc but let the states decide how to run their own laws.

Before anybody makes any redneck jokes, I have also been a member of the Winchester, VA hunt for over 20 years. Don't use real foxes anymore here too much, but they do in "civilized" England.

PS Snibble: NOLA is not a rural area.
We hunted with pistols rather than rifles. Down in my part of Mississippi those baddasses were all named Frierson. When they'd tangle with a hog there was a seething throng of sqeeling dogs and hogs, growling an barking and cussin' among dogs, hogs and Friersons.

"Just shoot in here amongst us, somebody's gotta have some relief!" Jerry Clower on coon hunting.

If I was younger I'd like to try that horse-back game in Afghanistan where guys play keep-away with a dead calf or goat. Man, I'll bet the little ladies go nuts when you present them with that trophy!

Yeeee-haw!

During a revival the last week in November in Cheneyville , a little town between Bunkie and Alexandria on Highway 7l, an evangelist was bringing the service to an end. As people were standing in line waiting to tell him their personal problems, he asked each individual what they really needed.

When T-Coon was asked, he replied, " Mais , Ah want you to pray dat my hearing gonna be real good. Dat's all Ah ax-- dat my hearing gone turn out all right."

The evangelist took his finger, put it in T-Coon's ear, raised his other hand in the air and looked up to start his prayer of healing. Noticing that the expression changed on T-Coon's face, the evangelist--thinking a miracle had already happened--asked, "Mister, how's your hearing ?"

T-Coon looked around at the curious onlookers and said, "Ah don't know. It ain't till next Tuesday in Opelousas !!''

FWIW, the kid (Billy Redden) couldn't really play banjo -- if you look closely during the movie, you can see it's somebody else's arms going thru the motions.

Linky no worky.

Watching two dogs fight holds no interest for me and probably because I love dogs. Now, giving the guy who fights them a head start and have the dogs chase him down, well, that I'd pay money for. More fun if they place odds on how long he lasts after the dogs get to him/
