New Job!

So, Saturday is my last doing home repairs for elderly/disabled low-income homeowners in atlanta. I've found an even more bleeding heart cause for myself I'll continue to volunteer there, but I've been made the director of a small for-profit company working with Tibetan refugees in Nepal.

I'll get to travel some more, and use the tibetan language I've been learning... (right up there with some of my other useless talents such as marching band instructing)

So, anyway, I'm excited... and with the recent lack of posts about anything but the usual suspects I thought I'd share my excitement. Woo hoo!

That is a thoroughly cool thing to do! A great cause and a wonderful chance to learn a huge amount. A year ago I went to hear some Tibetan monks chant, memorable, visitors to a Christian church nearby. And the Christians didn't even prosyletize or burn them at the stake!

thanks! I added the www on the button on my posts.

One of the groups of travelling monks is based in Atlanta- perhaps you saw them- Drepung Loseling monks - mystical arts of tibet tour is their gig...

Funny, my language teacher is a monk who speaks 6 languages. He recently went to California to welcome a new group of non-english speaking monks to the states for the arts tour. The highlight of his trip was going to Disneyland with the other monks. Space mountain! wish I had a picture of that!

Naturally you'll need to sell the 300SDL. Not a good thing at all to leave those poor old diesels just sitting around not running.
