will a 87 C 6 ford trans from a 5.8 motor fit a inline 6 ford motor?also a 87

I don't think so...I think the bellhousing is different.

IIRC, the 6 cyl uses one bellhousing, the 302 and 351 (and other small blocks) use another, the 460 (and other big blocks) uses yet another, and the diesel is also unique.
