MEN! Where do you go clothes shopping? Stores? Brands?

Ok... Where do you guys shop at? Are MB owners tastes in clothing as good as in automobiles?

I.E. Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, Famous Barr/Macys, Dillards, Walmart, Target, etc.?

I.E. Polo, Nautica, Prada, Vercase, Louis Vuitton, etc.??

Spit it out

I like going to the malls myself, something thats Nautica or Polo, nothing too expensive and nothing too cheap, somewhere in between.

I dont beleive in spending too much money on clothes and shoes because they do wear out and styles change. Watches on the other hand are different and they can be passed down through generations and timeless.

But i do know guys that shop only at Neiman Marcus, etc. and love paying for top designers (also drives MB might I add), so tell me about your styling and your age and whether you are single cause this makes a difference.

Jim- with ebay:

1) are you afraid of the clothes not fitting? I know with different designers, sometimes pants dont fit the same so i need to try them out

2) what brands- because after shipping costs and the possibility of fakes, are you still saving $?

I thought about buying suits and other high price stuff on ebay because they are 50% cheaper than in a store, but worried about those two factors above.

Outlet malls, TJ Maxx, Kohl's and some department stores....depends on what I'm shopping for.

I'm wearing a $50 polo knit that I paid $16 for. My Levis I paid 2 for $50 at the outlet are being held up by my $70 polo belt that cost me $17.50.

Depends on what you wanna buy. Your first suit should be from a reputable store. Read this thread:

Nordstrom Rack is a good place. Off 5th is also good. I'd buy anything except for a suit at a discount store. Never ever pay full price for clothes, not even 75%. Half off is what you should be looking for. Even for an Armani suit.

Being just a humble blue-collar type worker, I go for Wal-mart, Target, Penny's, ect. Don't care that much about brand. If I like it, I buy it. I have one nice suit I paid something like $300 for at a local "men's" store, and a real nice $1000(it was on sale for half off) over coat I splurged on a few years ago, but that's as extravegant(sp?) as I've ever gotten.

Sears, Penney's, Gap (outlets) and Old Navy usually.

My wife seems to take great delight in buying most of my new clothes now. Luckily she has decent taste.

I go to Off 5th, Nordstrom Rack and the Polo outlet weekly. I don't always buy anything but I like to know I get first crack at stuff.

Same here! I haven't even bought a pair of socks by myself since I've been married!

And she gets most of my stuff at Ross, but sometimes forces me to buy something for myself at Dillard's or Nordstom's Rack...

Been on a casual work policy since '94 so all of my suits have been mothballed. However, when job interviews came up, I found out myself a bit more rotund than before, so I picked up a couple of suits from the Men's Wearhouse.

So far, only saw use for them in recent funerals I've attended...

Oh, Men's Warehouse is out there too? I thought they were just a local outfit. That's where I bought my suit too.
