American vs. foreign women

Ok.. I know I am going to get flammed, but I have to ask your opinion...

Today I was in class/lecture and noticed a foreign girl sitting across the room. I asked my american female friend her thoughts and shes like "shes foreign!!!" in a negative way.

I have many other american female friends and whenever I make a comment about foreign women (aka. russian or asian foreign exchange students), they always act threatened or make jokes like, "mail order bride".

Personally, I am opened minded, I been dating american girls for a while now and still single, so why not try something else you know?

Anyway, what are your thoughts? Is there hostility between american and foreign women?

I have heard alot of positive things said about marrying Korean woman. On the same hand my friends that married Korean women moved to Korea. They say that if you bring em over here they become just like the typical materialistic American women after a period of time and television. My good friend Dave has been living in Korea with his wife and her family since around 1979.

I saw the web page too...can you say.....BITTER!??

Some of the points may hit home...but only if you share his dismal view of the outcome of marriage.

If one looks at marriage as giving up freedoms as opposed to gaining a lifelong relationship and family, it's easy to fall prey to the statements made on the site.

And just as he glorified his single existence against the failed lifestyles of his married counterparts, don't believe for a second that the marriage scenarios he has imposed is at all realistic!

Reality can suck, whether married or not.

And as far as his bitterness towards certain women and marriage in general, I think perhaps WHERE he meets up with these ill-fated women has more to do with his luck than what nationality they happen to be...

I'm dating a Vietnamese woman. She came to this country with her family in 1975 when she was six. Though she is "americanized", she is very in tune with her heritage and still has some siblings over there.

She doesn't want to live there permantly, but would like to return to do charity work for a year or so, if possible. I'd be up for that myself, should the opportunity arise.

I think the fact that she is from another country gives her a better world percpective than most people. It's not just about the US, right? As a dual-citizen (US/Italy), I feel the same way. For that matter, I suppose I could be considered one of those "forgein guys" to some women!

On a side, my cousin met and married a Czeck woman years ago and brought her over here to live in Texas. After she got the rest of her family over here, she told him she didn't want to be married any more. That's pretty cold but he's moved on.

I agree with this statement IF the woman is a college graduate or currently a college student. I've had classmates in college who were foreigners and they were very intelligent and knowledgeable. IMO these are the type of women that are "marriage material". Most of them are financially stable and obviously since they have a visa, comming to the USA is not a big deal to them.

I've seen it go both ways. I have several friends married to foreign women...some are divorce and others still happily married.

I noticed the ones that were still married have wives who were financially stable in thier own countries and were college educated (either in the USA or in their own country).

The ones who were divorced married women who were struggling financially and not educated (high school grad). For them coming to the USA is a LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE and they will do whatever they needed to improve thier living conditions.

Personally I don't care if a woman is from a foreign country or not. There are more important issues than that. You just need to be more careful because unfortunately there are foreigners who are just looking for nothing more than to migrate to the USA.

I totally agree, my friend. What you are saying here is what kind of "background" does she have! Girls with good family background and values are different from those just come here to find a husband. I have dated both and what a difference in thinking, values, intelligence, etc. I would not want to marry someone who's only interested in getting a husband so she can stay in this country, worse still, so she bring her family here and dump you later

Here's a piece of content from that site...

"American women..
- highest maintenance (I've never heard of a foreign bride demanding her husband buy expensive house & cars)
- fattest in the world
- most likely to cheat
- highest rate of divorce (60% - US-US marriages; 20% - US-foreign marriages)
- largest payout in divorce court (you'll be ass-raped for everything you earned, plus most of what you will earn for years to come)
- *****iest
- most likely to nag constantly
- most likely to believe in feminism and "equality"
- most likely to hate men
- spend least amount of time with her children
- worst at cooking and cleaning
- f*cked & chucked by tons of guys before tricking you into marriage "

Thats hilarious Although I think he has a point, he is going overboard. I know of a girl who was born and raised in a tiny town, might as well be a village, in Ohio and she's one of the sweetest girls I know. She's got a good personality, however being around her too long will get on your nerves eventhough she's HOT with mammories to brag about She is also very commiting and would be a good wife to some lucky guy.
Also, I can tell you for a fact that not all Eastern European women are "marriage material". The ones from the City thats exposed to the new western fad are WAY TOO materialistic. These are the ones that behave like the user who's friend married the czech lady... essentially to use/con him. Bottom line is you got to becareful with women EVERYWHERE.

I was always of the opinion that America was a country made up of many many origins so I guess it would depend what you call an American woman?

"American woman, stay away from me
American woman, mama let me be
Don't come hare hanging around my door
I don't want to see your face no more
I got more important things to do
Than spend my time growin' old with you
Now woman, I said stay away
American woman, listen what I say..."

Good stuff!

I think that I prefer Europeans (western europeans), at least the ones I know are more sensible and grounded than most Americans... not to mention that many were drop dead gorgeous.

We'll see what happens, perhaps I'll get a more balanced opinion if I take one of years of university in Germany or Austria.

You guys prefer women who do not share the same education and the same vision of equality under which you reached autonomy, and now you begrudge women who love liberty and equality that which you cherish?

My bequest to you whiners is a blue burkah for your girlfriend, so she'll know her place.

OK I get it. Only foreigners with money are welcome. All others stay out. Should the poor and uneducated leave too?

Some people simply don't have the opportunity that you have. You place such value on a college education. Why don't you get one? Just an education, not necessarily college.
