Intrest in 185mm lsd diffs?

I have built one for the chumpcar and Im working on another that might go in my c36. If I could sell a clutch type lsd for mercedes would anyone here be interested at about $700? Serviced and ready to go with your choice of ratio? Lockup percent is pretty low around 35% but I can set breakaway torque and it makes it work well in the wet and snow.

Honestly because of the difficulty getting the 185's in decent ratios, I'd be more interested in someone making either output flange adapters or half shafts to mate our outputs to either an R200, or preferrably, a Ford 8.8 IRS center chunk.

Which models does this "185 mm" fit into? I'd be interested if it fits my '98 E300. The E300's should have come with one from the factory, as they make nearly C36 torque, but starting from just 1600 rpm.

Cars with the m104 have the 185mm diff as do a lot of other smaller older models. The 190s use a different smaller diff unless its a 2.6 or 16v. Most w210s with the v6 are 210mm.

I agree 8.8" irs would be nice. It would probably be difficult to mount though.

Is this a factory LSD unit modified? How about for an older swing axle (w108/111) type diff? I've got a bunch of diffs and ratios if you need some for cores. May be interested in trading. Pm me. Also interested in lemons.

These would be factory lsds that have been modified to work in the mutilink housings. I have not done one for a swing axle yet. However I know they are internally similar. I'll send you a pm about ratios.

Actually, M104 equipped cars have 210mm diffs.
All m103 cars use 185mm.

That is interesting. What ratio would a m104 car have? Would this be true for a w140 chassis too? Would a 210 gear set from a w124 work in a early 210diff from a w116/126/r107?

M104 equipped w124's usually have 2.42 ratio(I have a spare one if interested). Perhaps you'll find the answer to your question here http://www.w124performance.com/docs/mb/other/differential_info_Stu.txt

Oh damn. I have those. I'm looking for higher numerical gear sets for the 210mm. 3.46 or 3.69. The early 6 cyl cars have high ratios like that. I have a 185 3.69 in my v8 drift car but when I start making real power it's a bit of a concern.

When Chrysler was part of Mercedes, they used 2 MB diffs. One was in the 198 range and the other 210 - 215. Near as I can tell, there was never a factory LSD but an aftermarket LSD would be more common in Chrysler land.

I have a 210 with 3.46 in the wagon right now that was donated by a 300SL. It's fun in the city but can't go anywhere long distance because the revs are through the roof at 75mph. I'm saving that for the track car.

Does your 210 have the hydraulic ( 1996 ) or electronic ( 1997 + ) shift trans?
