I'd love to be in a position to able to do that. You're most fortunate.

Not a very elegant solution but I did avoid removing the hood. We got close enough to 70F today so the spray adhesive would 'stick' ...
I wish I took pictures of the really funky crap the PO or someone prior to me used to glue the hood pad. Looked like the stuff they use on flooring, a whitish-yellow heavy plastic-like junk. Took 2 cans of the 3-M adhesive remover and literally around 5 hours. What a mess ... Now, new hood pad and washer fluid defuser installed. |

That looks fantastic. I've been wanting to do that to mine for some time. One day I hope I'll be able to. My hood looks way worse than yours was. Not just because of the adhesive gunk but from oil etc...

Looking good! I've got a W126 sitting in my shop I need to replace the hood pad I've been putting off. Seeing yours might just be the impetus I need.

Perhaps the most or least needed option or accessory .... lol
For years I have been attracked to the headlight wipers. Not sure why ? Not sure they are even needed at all.... Started off with the driver's side and you can see where I should have listened to my inner tinkerer voice to experiment at the junkyard ... this will be a project down the road to fix. I'm not sure how, but I cannot believe I am the first person to drill a hole not perfectly .... |

The passenger side is perferct ... just the slightest possible hint of light around the shaft hole to the wiper motor.

And, swapping out the corner lights from the yellow US type to the orange Euro type. I believe I have misplaced the driver's side ... I cannot locate it. I did find a number of brand new nozzles and some other stuff in the search ...
Overall, I do like the wiper look ... |

The red leather interior should be done and installed, and completed by the end of April 2019. I'm so happy with the work thus far.
Just one decision to make is whether or not to go with the locking armrest. It's in black leather, NOS. Very rare. I have only seen one on German eBay around 5 or 6 years ago. This was specific to the W123. Some of the work in progress ..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zy3q6aGJh_s&feature=youtu.be |

Fantastic looking door cards. If only I'd seen your vid last night before I removed my passenger door card from mine. Would have made it a lot easier seeing how that front map pocket plastic clip went attached.
My preference would not be to use a different color arm rest for what it's worth. - Peter.

The lesson learned is to buy ALL leather at the same exact time. I am dying all leather the same exact color. The arm rests were done last year and they are in the same red leather. Instead of 50 shades of red, I will have just one when I am done. I will post some snappies of the arm rests ...

Here is a snappy of the arm rests wrapped in leather. The one in the middle is the color red I want. I have dyed most of the pieces. Just looking for the right weather weekend to finish the interior plus I have to wait to get my door cards back to dye and install them. The other arm rest is in the car on the floor patiently waiting. The issue I found was having to grind away around 1mm of metal from the chrome bezels. The leather wrap makes the arm rests slightly thicker.
This red is about as close as I can get to the AMG done back in the day. I am aware of 2 AMGs done in this red leather interior for the W123. Both of those AMGs were silver with red interior. I like my red on red. I did score a ast.silver W123 sedan a few years ago but the front clip was smashed and a long term buddy who ran a body shop destroyed that car, so that car went for .10 cents a pound. |

Darker Euro turn signals
Can you post the part number of the darker turn signals?
I would like to purchase a pair but haven't gotten a definitive PN. Thanks, Geoff Quote:
