That's a beautiful rear seat ! .

Suspension was at full droop with no shocks. Shouldn't have let it hang like that but I've got new ones that are going on in the next few weeks. According to the FSM, the rear shocks function as limit straps. With the shocks in place, there is plenty of slack in the lines even at full droop.

The interior is definitely going to be a HUGE improvement. I'm kinda swamped right now so buttoning it up is on the back burner.. just daily driving the car for now.

It sips fuel and is running on a blend of ~50/50 W80 and pump diesel. Runs like a top.. quiet and smooth. Starts really well. This car has made a big turn around mechanically.

Thumbs up Progress !

O.k., well and good .

I'm old and I've seen more than a few crashes caused by damaged brake hoses .

I agree, this is turning into a fine car .

Got the Bilstein HDs installed on the front today. BIG difference in handling and no more spongy/sway feeling from the front. Really stiffened things up (which is a good thing in this case). Doesn't ride harsh but you can feel the road a bit now.

Air shocks for the rear are here now too... just have to fabricate mounts. I'm even considering putting my small onboard compressor and tank I have in the parts pile in the back and having on-demand ride control for the rear. All it would take is one of the single gauge/switch panels for manual air ride control.

Progress is slow but steady...

Buttoned up the rear doors. Tinted the windows and installed the new door panels. Looking much better.

I'm going to try to get the fronts done this weekend and possibly swap out the passenger seat. We'll see if I have enough time.

More to come.
