I have a similar issue on my 1994 S320 and the dealer says it is due to a seat belt sensor problem. I don't really believe that but I haven't found any other reason until seeing your instrument...

Thanks to Everyone. I found it !!

I located the filter aft of the intake manifold on the drivers side. Had to lay all over the engine to see it though.

I just bought a 94 S320 and want to change the oil but after looking for 1/2 hour I can't find the filter canister. Can you give me a clue to it's location?
