I think with everything up to snuff you could...
I think with everything up to snuff you could (without AC).
But I would want to keep it regardless in case of an emergency and tge extra cooling is needed for whatever reason.

Plain old soap and water is the best cleaner I've seen so far. It restored a pre filter I had to like-new lol!
