The following appears within each of the rims:

The above and the fact that they don't work on a 1988 300 SEL is all I know for sure. Perhaps...

I recently picked up a set of factory original chrome wheels through ebay (#2459807826), but have since learned that the offset isn't quite right for my particular car. (I have a 1988 126 style... I...

Besides the lug nuts, it seems that the offset is the issue at hand, which causes the inside of the front wheels to rub against the brake calipers (on my 1988 300 SEL). Sooooo now I have a nice set...

Update:
I went ahead and had the valve stem seals replaced and have since gone over 1000 miles without needing to top off the oil. This represents at least a 10-fold improvement. I've noticed some...

EuroTech Wheels on 1988 300 SEL?

I'm considering the purchase of EuroTech 18" wheels (as we've all seen on ebay) for my 88 SEL. They've dropped the price to $595 for a set +$100 for shipping. I'm told that a tire size of 235-40-18...

Question Repurcussions of not fixing valve guides or seals??

My '88 300 SEL seems to have all the classic symptoms of needing work on the valve guides or seals (high oil consumption, a rare puff of blue smoke, occassional rough idle, pushing 100k miles, etc.)...
