Try disconnecting the fuel supply line under the hood and blowing back through it with compressed air. Remove the fuel cap first. How old is the fuel filter?

Thoughts on timing chain replacement on a 99 E300 engine with 400k miles

I've got a 400k mile 606 engine car in that I've told the owner we probably should go through the timing and oil pump chain, guides, etc... I suspect that I will see the most wear on the oil pump...

LOL, there was not really anything else that could have been causing it. Seems tranny is pretty worn and whatever linkage inside the tranny moves into position to indicate neutral is now at 4th gear...
