MB tech data book says 123s came with 5 1/2" ET 35 and 6" ET 30. 107 is ET 30 so they will fit, just not as wide.

IIRC its function is to keep the idle the same rpm when the ac is turned on i.e. if you didn't have one your idle would drop some when the ac compressor turns on and raise some when the ac compressor...

Pump runs a few seconds until the timer stops and will not run again until the tach signal says the engine is turning over. It's not the pressure that makes the pump stop.

I think the switch is for cabin air recirculate and the dial is euro headlight aiming control (up/down) vacuum powered. That's what they are on my 85 euro SEC.

There is no direct connection in the distributor. The spark jumps the gap between the rotor and the plug wires so an ohmmeter will not show anything.
