Dealer salesman warns of brands of Gas

One of the salesman at the dealer where I purchased my car recently told me NOT to use Petro Canada or Shell. I should use Esso or Sunoco. (my car is an '04 C230 Kompressor Sedan)

Thanks a lot for the detailed response. Good to hear your warranty doesn't seem to be affected (by law they can't require you to get service at the dealer).
