It's a no brainer

from my standpoint. Here is Phoenix, B99 is available for $2.85/gallon, commercially made soy based biodiesel only a few miles away. Dino is $3.09 - $3.39 per gallon. And my car smokes less and...

Not too bad here

Biodiesel is running about $2.85 out here in Phoenix. That's about the price of premium gas and less than dino which sells from $2.99 - $3.29. And it smokes a lot less.

Hey Burge,

Nice looking car! Interior looks great. I didn't think about this previously. I used to have a '73 280 and it needed subframe mounts. I assume it has the similar suspension. ...

Check with Indy mechanics

I bought my 300SD from my mechanic. He's always putting a couple of parts cars together and then selling them. I paid $4500 (140K) for it which I thought was kind of high at the time. But when...

I had bought an old 1973 MB 280 on a whim and quickly befriended my indy mechanic. Then I noticed all, I mean ALL the mechanics in his garage drove diesels. So he let me drive one every once in a...

I want to see pictures!

Hey Burge,

Sounds like a neat car. I'd like to see pictures if possible. One suggestion...I'd replace all fuel filters and possibly drain all the old diesel out of the car. You may want to run...

If I hadn't just sold my house

I'd probably take you up on it. How can you go wrong on a project for $100. But I'm in an apartment...no room to even park it let alone work on it.

Someone will take it from you.

What is proper pressure?

Forgive my ignorance. What should the oil pressure be at idle? Mine seems to be just below 2 on the guage at idle...goes to 3 when I step on gas.

Any input would be appreciated.

I'm running about 1/3 biodiesel. My understanding is that B35 is the most you can run without changing the rubber parts. I changed the fuel filters because I hear that bio cleans up...

Hats off to...
