It is absolutely important to "prime" the mastercylinder befor installation. I usually clamp it in the bench-vise, take a turkey-baster, yes you read right, fill the MC with brakefluid and activate...

Bought a compleatly rebuild injection pump, unseen for my 70 280 SL. WRONG PART, NO RETURN.........
Well I found a good used one and everything is fine, but I am out CND$ 2,000.

Oh, boy, I thought I was the only one stuck with a R11 pump, totaly rebuilt nice and shiny....but does NOT fit my 1970 280 SL. I got that information from the horses mouth, namely The Veterans Club...
