Ok then, after some more research I have determined that these wheels actually came from the '97 - '00 C230/C280 cars!
The pn is actually A 202 401 16 02 (not 18 02)...

Hmm, that site lists '96 and '97 E class 210 with 15x7 and the picture matches mine.
But, no, they don't list the ET.
The wheels I have came from a local in VT, so I know they came off of something!

Looks like the ET37 was actually from the 190D/E and 300E ,CE, TE and the C230.

Dash indicator lights always on...

So, when I got this car (300d), there were indicator lights on all the time, and the fuel gauge was always pegged.
I fixed a burned through ground on the circuit board and everything worked...

Thanks, after looking around a bit, I decided that sevicing it was not an easy project, and I could buy a new solenoid locally for $45, so I did.
They are availible online for as low as $28 it seems.

It looks to me like the metal edge of the housing is rolled over the rear cap preventing iit from coming off, no?

300D starter solenoid question

How does it come apart?? After removing the two nuts (ok 4) on the wire connection posts, shouldn't the "cap" come off? I am trying to clean the contacts etc.

No problems with the pump, just the gauge - it pegged full all the time, as did the temp gauge. Additionally, the glow plug indicator light was dim.

The problem turned out to be a clearly burned...
