2000 230 Kompressor

When I go to fill up only about 1/4 of a gallon will go in before the pump shuts off. After that, gas spills out of the filller. Any ideas? Its going into the dealer on...

An Update

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but my car had a perch break due to rust. It was quite comprehensive. It appears that the anti-corrosion coating was not applied correctly when the car was built....
