So it was the name for the chassis, after all... but what's with the 400E & 500E? They should've been 300E 4.0 and 5.0. Probably they were left as is,...

I always almost fall for the E-brake and release, the window controls and one more, surprisingly not mentioned by anyone. I try to use the turn signal for washing the windshield in those non-MB cars...

Just curious...

It's about time I changed oil & filter on my 1987 W124 300D Turbo. It has 300k+ miles on it.

Because of the high mileage, I was thinking about getting some heavy duty 15W-40...

That's wierd. Over here in Europe squares are much more scarce than round ones...

As a lot of guys mentioned the squares were for the high end ones and here basically 90% of W123s got the round...

I've never given names, but I am pretty sure all of mines were/are females.

My wife thinks that the current W124 300D turbo is a man, though...
