If the seal was put in improperly that most definatley could cause an issue after a while, I would check that wheel out as a first measure.

Yep I used a torque wrench to do every bolt I could, including lugs. Lugs I do to about 81lbs, the internal rotor hex bolts I did to about 111NM as per the MB service manual. Greased the bearings...
