BUT, clearly one of them is the lower oil pan gasket. The other is dripping down from the passenger/firewall area and I haven't nailed it down yet.

From underneath (and gunky though it is) the biggest mess seems to be low on the engine. I know that sounds like "duh" because gravity of course will carry the oil down...
