Is there a "kit" sold? I was considering just taking those parts from my parts car.

And where does one go if one decides to have the hydraulic compensator rebuilt? Any guess on cost?

My 1968 280 S parts car had a very hard rear suspension. I've moved the engine/trans into my 1967 250 S car, which was always the plan....
