When I had a 98 E300, the Xentry set up I have have was able to emulate HHT using the 38 pin connector. Seemed to work just fine. But that might be more than you'd want to spend to read codes.

You should definitely do the wastegate...

You should definitely do the wastegate conversion...removes so many vacuum variables.

Remove the ALDA and plug the line to see what happens. Just use your foot to make sure you don't overfuel too...

I use Opti-Lube with every tankful. Small price to pay to know for certain my fuel has adequate lubricity. Summer formula for most of the year then XPD for winter.

The muffler on my 91 300D is basically intact but one of the tail pipes is about to come off. I'm going to try some exhaust wrap to keep it in place...but I know I'll need a new muffler soon enough....
