Fault Code P0243 Turbo Charger Wastegate Solenoid "A"
Today in my 1998 E300 DT, the CEL/Check Engine Electronics message came on and I downloaded a code P0243 Turbo/Super Charger Wastegate Solenoid "A".
It was really cold this morning (like 0-5 degrees) and I suspect something just got stuck momentarily, but I could tell the car had a loss of power as I was getting on a highway, that was when the CEL light came on. I reset the code and it has not recurred. Anyone know if there's something I can clean up to prevent this from being a future problem?

Put the pedal to the floor once and awhile and let that baby clear its throat.
 Just trying to get your thread back to the top... I'd eyeball the turbo/wastegate area if at all possible and check for the basics...
