What does your HIGH Performance gasoline engine sound like?
We need bad and good sounding engines.
This can be used as a diagnostic sound library.

Here's a link to a sound clip of my 300E with a custom exaust system with no pre-cats or resonator and an aftermarket stainless muffler.

Both clips were performed with the engines at operating tempature and are free reving in park. I don't suggest doing this because it adds undo stress to the engine.

Hey Jonno,
That looks like great fun. When's the next event like that? Do they do that every weekend? When I pick up my AMG, and I'm on the way home with it, I can swing by there, and run it for a day, if you're up for that..and the timing is correct. I plan on going down to my office in North Carolina on the way anyways, so what's another 180 miles, from Winston-Salem, area, to Atlanta right?I hope to have her home, by the time we have the NewEngland GTG up in Mass, anyways. I'm working on expediting the remainder of the "Import"..lol, to get the blasted thing here into the states asap.

Unfortunately no, Road Atlanta is a rather popular circuit thus getting a w/e open for rent is a little on the rare side. I know there is another one in July, but it's Mighty hot then. There is another I plan on attending in October.

Either way I'd love to check out your car so keep me up to date when/where etc..

Well then I'll plan to swing through either way. It will be a good chance to test my 17 year old, barely been used A/C system, too. Hope it works..lol. I'll come down and hang around for a day or so, before I hit the road, towards home. It won't be for a little while yet though anyways, because I still have some "Import" work to do. That will also be a fine chance to pick up those parts I need from you as well. I've still been busy with work. Hey man do you believe that whole thing at Virginia Tech? Wow! Driving me nuts for some reason, I can't get any of it, especially the victims, off of my mind...I'm deeply angered, by the whole thing.. I think we all are though.

There will be a 2-day AMG Track event at the end of September. We have already rented No Problem Raceway in Louisiana and will run the road course on the 27th and the drags on the 28th. Cost is only $250 for BOTH days.
