Was there a member-get-member promotion we didn't knnow about?

Perhaps we ought to start a member-to-buy-parts-get-member-to-buy-parts promotion?

Busy is good!

Now if we can get all 10,000 people buying parts, we'll have one heck of a website!

By the way...Thank you for your order today, Jim.

I predict May/June to have approx 5000 members. 10,000 ... perhaps at the World Cup of 2002.

Pity Fastlane don't ship part to where we are.

I actually have a few pieces of paper with Mercedesshop.com written on them in my glove compartment, that I gave out to some MBZ owners. We should lobby for some support, maybe we can contribute some money and get a few adds in The Star, so we can get a even greater member following.

Alex I do exactly the same thing! I have a couple of homemade mercedesshop cards in my dash and everytime I see a Benz that belongs to an enthusiast or a Benz that needs help I pop the card on the car.

Alex,
Yes it has the 2.3 engine with a slightly bigger displacement than the one in the 190e. In fact 95% of the engine parts are similar to the 190e2.3. The remainder is like the 260e.
I haven't heard from Agron maybe he's on vacation or something. Hope they'll be a NY meeting again soon

We had a W124 230E before it was replaced by the W124 E220.

We'll have a meeting in about a 3 weeks to a month or so. Only question is? Can the 2.3 Keep Up. I sure as hell had a hard time keeping up with Dave Hendy (500E) and Noah (C43). Otherwise we all had cars with about the same capabilities. Ha it was fun though too bad you didn't show up.

P.S was the car a GreyMarket by any chance? Never knew they sold the 230E in the U.S.

3,500 members

It looks like we are still getting 100 new members every 13 days.

Watching the number of members grow reminds me of the number of members on the VWvortex forum...They have 23.000 members and way too much traffic going on. It is impossible to keep up with their daily threads!
3.000 members is good, 5.000 is better, 10.000 is many and 20.000 is too many...

greetingz,

Alex,
Yep, its a grey market. I have a K&N filter and SuperSprint exhaust so the 500E and the AMG are way out of my league but I can probably hold my own against the rest of you There is a guy with a 300ce by me and I am trying to place one of my make shift mercedesshop cards on his car a beautiful looking thing with 17" rims.
Later.
